I'm a woodworker and builder living in Cambridge, Massachusetts. I specialize in making use of old, discarded, up-cycled and recycled wood, making new things out of these unwanted materials. I study historical techniques and cross-cultural tools, employing methods garnered from, for example, 18th-century New England furniture makers and traditional Japanese wood workers. My woodwork ranges from small to large including fountains constructed from salvaged bamboo, pens made from elderly apple trees, and tables from Eucalyptus slabs. |
